teorias da inspiração — filme (Theories of Inspiration — Film) is a film collaboration with choreographer David Marques which served to mark the end of the first phase of creation for the stage piece of the same title, to be staged later at Teatro Bairro Alto in 2022.  Theory of Inspiration is a work whose aim is to draw into focus ephemeral sensations, memory, process work and translate them into a choreographic entity.

To illustrate these concepts in film,  I attempt to shoot with methods and details that would produce an atmosphere resembling memory; close up detail of movement, heightened audio, interlaced segments, muted colors and soft, hazy focus, POV video and images of abstract working notes.
